About Me
and how I can help you.
Let me tell you about the key that changed my life
Kristin: A Registered Nurse, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality with a Masters In Healthcare Leadership & Change, and a Certified Life Coach.
The road that brought me here.
All the titles defined me: mother, daughter, student, step-mother, wife (twice), ex wife (twice), sister, friend, nurse, coworker, leader, educator. On the surface these roles were meant to give me a lane, a purpose. Though many of them brought excitement, joy, and a sense of accomplishment, the what felt like never ending stack of duties came with a price tag of overwhelm, distrust, insecurities, burn-out, sadness, fear and anxiety.
Whenever I felt these negative emotions, I believed I needed more…more time, more money, more sleep, more education. I was under the impression that once I mastered one of my roles, reached a new milestone, or found more [insert here], life would be better. I just had to keep my nose to the grind, keep working harder and make better choices to “get out.”
So I repeated the cycle time and time again. Change the job. Fix the relationship. Get my kids to the next chapter (no more diapers, ride the bus, drive alone to practice, get into college). Try a new diet. Take a vacation. Get to retirement. Once I checked all of these important items off of my life long to-do list, everything would be perfect. I would be 100% happy.
Big surprise: this day was just not coming. The perfect life felt like it was only getting further and further out of my reach. Once one to-do was checked, another popped up…and another…and another. It wasn’t until a global pandemic, my mother’s fourth cancer diagnosis leading to her passing, and my second divorce all came crashing in at once. Then, at what felt like should be the lowest of lows, I discovered the key to a world I never thought was possible.
The key: T,G,F,A,R
The acronym itself (which I’ll tell you about during our first session) isn’t what unlocked my freedom. It’s the mindset this model helped me create.
I found it when searching for a podcast to help me get on track. The title was “Better Than Happy.” I think when I read it I actually chuckled thinking “okay, sure.” Now don’t let that cynical remark mislead you, I’ve been a generally positive person with a generally amazing life, however, I’ve always known there was another level to unlock.
Long story short, a few episodes in I was hooked. The theme of the podcast was essentially that if you can manage your mind, you can control your life. This ultimately led me to hiring someone who called themself a ‘Life Coach’, a term I never heard of. After one phone call with her I left thinking “where have you been all my life!”
With the help of my coach, I turned lemons into lemonade and entered a whole new phase of life. The phase of life 100% defined by me. And man, does it feel good.
After basking in my new found sense of self for a while, I started to realize my life’s purpose was standing right in front of me. It all made sense. All the years of mentoring, my degree in leadership, my obstacles with relationships, the never ending love I had to give to not only my family and friends but my patients, staff, and coworkers. The urge to always unlock that next level. These weren’t just parts of me or things that happened to me, they were the raw ingredients to become a Coach.
So, that’s what I did. I became a Certified Life Coach through the esteemed Life Coach School. And now, I have the toolbox to help others unlock the life they want.
Alright, enough about me. Let’s talk about you next.

At the Life Coach School we are extensively trained in “causal coaching”, Life Coaching isn’t about treating the symptoms of pain orshortcomings - its about finding the root cause of each symptom, understanding it and then helping clients change it to make room for new seeds of success and fulfillment. In short…its helping people with “good” lives become even better!

A Life Coach is not a substitute for a therapist. However, working in tandem with a therapist is often very effective. A Life Coach is someone who can help you get perspective on your life and your mind. They do not diagnosis or treat mental health conditions.

A coach understands and analyzes what clients are doing int their cognitive, emotional and behavioral lives. Depending on the client’s goal(s) and like anything varies from person to person. Most clients find coaching a source of unbiased support that is not found in a friend or family member and utilize coaching throughout their lives.

Referrals are welcome and if you agree to cover the costs for a family member or friend this arrangement can be made. However, I do not coach children (under 18). All adults (18yrs +) who desire coaching must be 100% willing to be coached.
